Mind, Matter, Spirit

For the last few months these subjects have been on my heart and my thinking. There is a real dimension that I long to be with my Christian walk. That is the life of totally living with the Holt Spirit guiding my every step. Let me give you what I have been given so far. My mind and matter is very easy to walk in, because every thing that happens in my life is approached in one of these realms; but not the spirit. This is the hardest for me to walk in and if you were honest it is for you too. If you really study the life of Jesus you find that His life was lived totally lead by the spirit and the proof is in what He did. Have you ever wondered why Jesus did not just wave His hand and heal every person with a physical problem, but only healed the ones that asked of Him healing? Could it be that Jesus knew that the power and the truth and happiness is found in the Spiritual and not in the Mind and Matter? Helen Keller said: “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched; they must be felt with your heart.” What Helen Keller experienced and what Jesus wants for you and I is to experience the truth that this world cannot offer. The truth I am referring to is a spiritual reality that exists through living and walking in the Kingdom of God here and now. Jesus said we are to seek first the Kingdom of God and the physical will be added, or will be taken care of itself. The apostle Paul puts it this way,
“17For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18
I say all of this to say, don’t get so worked up about what we face in this life, about the uncertainty of what will take place in the mind, and matter. Instead we should make it a priority to focus on the spiritual that will free us and allow us to really experience the truths of the living God. I mean it was Jesus that said, and you will know the TRUTH and the TRUTH will set you free. Are you Free?
